Pre-Purchase Evaluations

Prior to the investment of purchasing a new horse it is recommended to have a pre-purchase exam completed. This comprises a full physical exam and the horse is observed for soundness. Frequently digital radiographs are obtained at time of pre-purchase to serve as a baseline for the skeletal system and to help identify regions of abnormality. Additional components can be added on an individual patient basis including blood work, upper airway endoscopy, ultrasound exams and reproductive evaluations.
